About Myself

If you couldn’t tell from the site title, I’m Quincy Zikmund. I have an amazing wife, 3 pugs, a beard, and I make websites for a living.

I started blogging in 2009 and since then I’ve gone through multiple blog names and more design changes than I can count. In that time I wrote over 100 articles, most of which were about what you might call the “deeper Christian life” and finding Christ-centered community outside the four walls of the institutional church. Throughout the last part of 2013 and beginning of 2014 I developed a love/hate relationship with this blog. I felt stuck and every time I would sit down to write nothing came out. If anything did come out I would just end trashing the post and closing my browser halfway through.

Therefore I came to the conclusion that I had two options. I could either walk take this site down completely and walk away from blogging or I could simply start fresh. I ended up removing all of my previous posts starting over. You can read my post Hitting Reset to learn more. (Update: I have since restored all my old posts, which you can find in my archives.)

What You’ll Find Here

My writing is sporadic. Sometimes you might see a handful of posts in a month and sometimes you won’t hear a word for months at a time. When I do write I tend to focus on the Christian life and living simply. But even posts that center around living simply come from stem from my desire to live a life pleasing to God by the life of Christ. So thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some encouragement through this site.
